This 2-day introductory printmaking workshop utilizes a unique hand-pressed printing process called "Reductive Ink", developed over the course of nearly 20 years by Professional Artist, D. Printmaking without a Press I, is high in content, and uses inexpensive, low-tech materials that can be easily used in a home studio environment. No previous experience is necessay.
Printmaking without a Press I, is also designed for those with experience in printmaking and/or in additional mediums, that simply want to explore their creativity in an art friendly atmosphere.
Coffee's prints have been shown in over 70 solo and group print exhibitions, and are included in nearly 200 prestigious public and private collections throughout the world.

Chimney Rock Archaeological Area is located 17 miles west of Pagosa Springs on Hwy. 160, and 3 miles south on Highway 151. The site is accessible for guided walking tours (2-2.5 hours) at 9:30am, 10:30am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm. $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 6-11, free 5 and under. Reservations required for groups of 10 or more. Great Kiva Loop Trail is barrier free. This Invitational & Juried Group Exhibition features the work of 15 talented Ceramists, all past or current students of Prof. Patrick Shia Crabb, Head of the ceramics Dept. at Santa Ana College, CA. "Paper & Clay" also features original works by emerging Printmakers studying under Professional Artist, D. Michael Coffee, displayed with a selection of Coffee's Monotypes.

This year's theme is A Tisket, A Tasket, A Seeds of Learning Basket. Doors will open at 5:30 for appetizers and a sit down dinner in an elegant picnic atmosphere. Instead of auctioning tables of dinnerware, creative "baskets" of various values will be auctioned. Tickets for reserved seating and table sponsorships will be available in March.
