Chimney Rock National Monument lies within the San Juan National Forest, between Pagosa Springs and Durango, encompassing 4,726 acres, preserving hundreds of prehistoric sites that dot the landscape around the twin spires.
A sacred place that celebrates the life of Ancestral Puebloans over 1000 years ago. Open 7 days a week, May 15-October 14. Programs range in price from $5-$25. Reservations for programs: https://chimneyrockco.org or 877-444-6777. Monument: 970-883-2455. The gift Shop is open from 9am-4:30pm.
