SUMMARY:Live Theater @ Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts
DESCRIPTION:\n	A Walk in the Woods\, January 16-26\n	An important\, brilliantly executed and strikingly original Pulitzer Prize Nominee which brings deep perception and unexpected humor to its probing examination of the superpower negotiations on nuclear disarmament. Between 1981 and 1984\, American Paul Nitze and Russian Yuli Kvitsinsky met in the mountains along the Swiss and French border for unofficial negotiations to limit the nuclear weapons arsenals in the United States and Russia (then the Soviet Union). What followed was a political and diplomatic back and forth as both countries attempted to save face and emerge as dominant.\n\n	Lee Blessing’s two-man play is a sharp\, often humorous and always engaging look at what might have transpired during those secret meetings in the woods. Audiences will recognize that the play remains a viable launchpad for contemporary political conversations. Starring Artistic Director Tim Moore and Lickety Split Improv’s Scott Moorehead. $42. 7pm.\n\n	More information and tickets at https://www.pagosacenter.org/\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n
