Pagosa Paddle Whitewater Race

PAGOSA PADDLE!  11am, 4pm

 

What is it? The first ever head to head whitewater race through downtown Pagosa Springs. 

Tim Brink has recently moved to the area from Oregon where he coordinated a team, a series, and a national whitewater racing organization.

 

Where? Head to head rounds start right in front of City Park and go through town at 11am!


Afternoon downriver mass start race starts at 4pm in front of Riff Raff on the Rio and ends at Yamaguchi Park!

 

Why? To bring the excitement of whitewater racing to Pagosa Springs on a section of river all can enjoy by spectating and even racing!


11am morning head to head classes include:
- Hard shell kayak, any length
- Fun raft, any length, 4 paddlers
- Pro raft, any length, 4 paddlers


4pm afternoon mass start downriver race classes include:
- Hard shell kayak, any length
- Fun raft, any length, 4 paddlers
- Pro raft, any length, 4 paddlers

6:30pm awards and gear auction at Riff Raff by the River! (tentative time and location may change).
Classes may change with significant interest (it takes 3 or more entries to make a class).
