We want to let you know that on May 8th, 2020, we plan to reopen The Springs Resort & Spa -- admitting a limited number of guests to the resort in accordance with the “Safer At Home” executive order announced by Governor Polis and following the state’s guidelines of maintaining a sustainable level of social distancing and upholding the directive to wear masks in public settings.
We are so happy to welcome you back to take a dose of nature with us. As the state of Colorado begins to lift restrictions relating to COVID-19 we intend to take a conservative approach to the reopening --in order to provide the safest environment we can for our employees and guests as we all begin the recovery process. Please know that the health and safety of our community, staff, and guests remains the top priority for The Springs Resort & Spa.
In order to welcome our employees back to work and support our local community, we ask that guests also take individual responsibility for their actions and make choices that have their fellow Springs Resort guests in mind. We understand that some of our new operation procedures aren’t what we are accustomed to, but we’ve put very careful thought into what is necessary to provide a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
We understand the role that nature, and geothermal mineral spring water in particular, play in supporting strong immune and respiratory systems. The many health benefits of soaking in mineral springs have been documented through the centuries. The Springs Resort & Spa also realizes how important it is to work with local and state authorities to help our guests -- especially those in vulnerable populations -- make smart choices at this important time in the world’s fight against COVID-19.
General Cleanliness and Health:
In order to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness post COVID shutdown, we have acquired more staff to ensure a rigorous cleaning and sanitizing schedule to provide you with the safety and comfort you deserve.
-
We will continue to perform the highest level of disinfectant cleaning across the property, using earth-friendly, peroxide-based cleaners and UV light sterilization.
-
High touch surfaces will be cleaned frequently, and guests will see an increased number of employees around the resort performing cleaning procedures. All associates will carry sanitizer supplies with them and sanitize the property as they perform their daily work.
-
All staff will wear masks, and we ask that all guests follow state health guidelines and wear masks while outside of your home.
-
We have installed sneeze guards at all point-of-sale locations – including the bath house, hotel and spa front desks, and food & beverage venues.
-
Hand sanitizing stations have been added across property in order to provide easy access to sanitizers near high-touch surfaces such as lobbies, locker rooms, doors, gates and elevators, for example.
-
Springs employees will have routine symptom and temperature checks when they arrive at work.
Hotel:
Hotel guests will have full access to the hot spring pools and other available resort amenities. Based on hotel occupancy each day, The Springs Resort & Spa will limit the number of total Bath House admissions to the property. This will ensure the property does not become crowded so all guests may enjoy the wellness benefits of The Springs safely and enable them to practice social distancing.
-
The resort has developed even stronger room cleaning procedures. In addition to peroxide-based disinfectants for cleaning all surfaces in the hotel, we have added a second level of quality review and disinfecting following each cleaning.
-
We have also added UV light sterilization devices in each room to further disinfect specific areas and high-touch items.
Bath House and Soaking Pools:
In order to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the renewal and rejuvenation that The Springs is renowned for, we will be restricting the total number of visitors to the property in the initial phase of reopening. Gatherings of more than 10 people will be prohibited on property. The usage of each of our 24 outdoor soaking pools will be restricted to ensure social distancing and safety guidelines are followed.
In addition to these overall policies, we will also be implementing the following practices:
-
Upon arrival to the Bath House each guest will be greeted outside the Bath House entrance by an associate and informed of our current health and safety policies and restrictions.
-
The total number of visitors to the hot spring pools will be restricted to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
-
Before entering the Bath House, an associate will ensure the total guest limit has not been exceeded and confirm the Bath House is ready to admit another guest. Arriving Bath House guests will not be allowed into the Bath House until the desk is clear. Family groups or groups traveling together in the same vehicle may soak together.
-
Associates will be positioned at locker room entrances to ensure the maximum number of gathering does not exceed 10 and will assist guests as needed.
-
Two associates will be dedicated to the ongoing disinfectant cleaning of all pool and bath house areas.
-
The maximum number of soakers allowed in each pool of our 24 different pools will posted.
-
We will encourage friends and family that traveled together to soak together during their visit to The Springs.
-
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. You may bring an empty water bottle.
-
Soaking guests are required to wear masks at all times while soaking.
-
Bath House hours are from 9am-10pm.
Food & Beverage:
Service will be limited, while ensuring our guests have access to a food & beverage offering in accordance with state restrictions.
-
Grab and go service will be offered. Once the state allows for seating in food & beverage establishments, our seating will be greatly reduced to ensure greater than 6 feet of separation between tables.
-
The Café will be open to hotel guests only for grab and go complimentary breakfast pick-up from 7am-9am.
-
The Canteen will be open to Bath House guests for pick-up only from 11am-10pm.
-
All Food &Beverage staff are required to wear masks and gloves during food preparation and delivery.
Pahgosa Spa: The Spa will not reopen until further notice. Policies and procedures for the reopening of the Pahgosa Spa are being developed. We will advise of the opening date of the spa as soon as we have plans in place.
We ask that you join us in having patience we navigate this unchartered territory together and work diligently to follow health and safety guidelines from state and local authorities.
Sincerely,
The Springs Resort & Spa
