Winterfest Learn to Cross-Country Ski Clinic @ Cloman Park

These great introductory clinics for adults are held throughout the season. Skate ski and classic cross country ski basics will be shared by some of Pagosa Springs’ best Nordic skiers. For adult never-evers, beginners and intermediates. Learn how to make these outdoor winter activities even more enjoyable! All lessons are free of charge. Pagosa Nordic Club membership and/or donations are strongly encouraged to help offset expenses with conducting the clinics and trail grooming.

Bring skis, boots, poles, water and dress in warm layers (Nordic skiing can get very warm.) Local ski shops provide discounted rentals for the clinics, just mention you are attending the clinic. Alpen Haus Ski Center, Pagosa Mountain Sports, and Ski & Bow Rack rent both Classic and Skate ski equipment. Pagosa Ski Rentals, and Summit Sports rent Classic skis. Be sure to ask for the discount!
Unless ski conditions prevent, all lessons will be at Cloman Park. If the lesson location changes, the new location will be posted on this page and the Facebook page and emailed via the PNC Grooming Report.
Lessons are approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Plan on arriving early to be geared up and checked in by 9:45 am with class starting at 10 am. Late arrivals are disruptive to the rest of the class.
Parking is often packed! Leave time to park and walk to the staging area for check in.
Buckaroos Santa Ride @ Buckaroos Horse-Drawn Rides
Take a horse-drawn ride through the meadow and magical Christmas tree forest to arrive at The Claus Cookie Cabin. There, you will be served Christmas cookies and cocoa by Mrs. Claus and have a chance to meet and take photos with Santa himself! Enjoy a warm bonfire and special family time before returning with the horses. 1 hour duration; time slots starting at 3:15pm. $50 adults $40 children 3-12 $5 under 2. Advanced reservations required.

Food, Beverages, and Live Music with Mean Irene. 5-8pm.
19th Annual Festival of Trees @ Town of Pagosa Springs Ross Aragon Community Center
Get ready to experience the magic of the 19th Annual Festival of Trees! Stroll through a wonderland of 20 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each created by local non-profits to raise funds for their causes. Live Music with Steve Blechschmidt. Dinner provided by Archuleta Seniors Inc, Cash Bar, Door Prizes. Doors open at 5:30pm. Tree Auction at 7pm. Individual Tickets: $30. Table Reservations available for groups. Tickets can be purchased at The Ross Aragon Community Center or online.

The feature-film adaptation of the untold story of the Witches of Oz is directed by electrifying filmmaker Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, this year's In the Heights). The Pagosa Springs Area Tourism Board and The Pagosa Springs SUN are sponsoring a lighting contest this holiday season. The lighting contest will make the holiday season shine. It includes enhanced lighting in downtown Pagosa as well as many other festive events taking place in and around the Pagosa Springs area November 28th through the end of December. Lights will be on every evening from 6-8pm.
