Per CDC guidelines, the following definitions apply:
Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. Cleaning alone does not kill germs. But by removing the germs, it decreases their number and therefore any risk of spreading infection.
Disinfecting works by using chemicals, for example EPA-registered disinfectants, to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs. But killing germs remaining on a surface after cleaning further reduces any risk of spreading infection.
COMMON AREAS:
Our front and back entrance door handles are disinfected with alcohol-based wipes containing 70% alcohol periodically throughout the day.
Front desk glass area is disinfected with EPA approved disinfectant periodically throughout the day.
ROOMS:
After guest departure, windows are open in the room to allow for air circulation. Room is left for 24 hours.
After 24 hour waiting period, room is cleaned to remove residue, dirt, germs from all surfaces: tables, desks, windows, coffee maker, fridge, sink/vanity, toilets, showers, tubs, and floors.
All linens are transported to hotel laundry and washed in sanitizing temperature.
Room is disinfected after cleaning as follows:
Bathroom: all toilets, showers/tubs, sinks are disinfected with EPA-approved disinfectants for use against the virus that causes COVID-19.
All doors, cabinets and window handles, light switches, AC remote controls, TV remote controls, alarm clocks, coffee makers, fridges are disinfected with alcohol-based wipes containing 70% alcohol to disinfect touch screens.
After thorough cleaning and disinfecting, our rooms are being kept empty for 3 days. Air circulation and ventilation method is used to air out the room.
