  • Dog Sledding is another unique and exciting activity, where you can drive your team of Alaskan huskies through the scenic trails of the San Juan National Forest, experiencing the spectacular beauty of the surrounding mountains.
     
  • Fat Tire Biking  is a fun alternative to skiing during the winter, with local trails groomed specifically for this activity. The trails are best ridden in the morning as the snow can get soft in the afternoon.
     
  • Ice Skating  is a classic winter tradition that can be enjoyed by the entire family at the Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion, a non-profit organization powered by volunteers who prepare the ice skating rink each winter season.

  • Skiing and Snowboarding are popular as Wolf Creek Ski Area is known for having the most snow in Colorado. An exceptional variety of terrain, abundant snowfall, and plenty of powder days make Wolf Creek a place for all to enjoy.

  • Sledding and Tubing an be enjoyed close to town and are easy ways to get outside and play in the snow. Find trails to slide down at Reservoir Hill and at the entrance to the Turkey Springs Trail System.
