Be Outside
Located at the base of Wolf Creek Pass in the mountains of southwest Colorado, Pagosa Springs is the perfect place to step away from the busy and find your distance. Bask in the beauty of 2.5 million acres of breathtaking wilderness, go for a hike through a field of wildflowers, fish in mountain streams, refresh in the spray of waterfalls, or soak in all-natural mineral hot springs.
Be in the Stream
A multitude of rivers, lakes and reservoirs offer anglers endless hours of quality fishing in and around Pagosa Springs. From warm, lower-elevation waters stocked with catfish, bass, perch and pan fish, to higher cool and cold-water lakes, creeks and ponds teaming with pike, kokanee salmon and a variety of trout, the fishing in few other destinations equals that of Pagosa Country.
Be in the Springs
At over 1002 feet deep, the Mother Spring aquifer has been Guinness World Record Certified as, "The World's Deepest." The mineral-rich waters from that very spring fill the baths at The Springs Resort & Spa, Overlook Hot Springs, and Healing Waters Resort & Spa. Each facility offers a unique experience, and each is open to the public with admission.
Be at the Summit
Hiking around Pagosa Country should not be missed. Much of the stunning high country visible from the Pagosa Springs area is part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. Portions of the Weminuche, Piedra and South San Juan Wilderness areas reach into Pagosa Country.
