Andrew Lippa's Wild Party is based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 narrative poem of the same name, this darkly brilliant show features one of the most exciting, pulse-racing scores ever written. It's the roaring 1920s and the beautiful, young Queenie, although she tries, cannot find a lover able to satisfy her desires – until she meets Burrs, a vaudevillian clown with a voracious appetite for women. Lovers Queenie and Burrs decide to throw the party-to-end-all-parties in their Manhattan apartment. After the colorful arrival of a slew of guests living life on the edge, Queenie's wandering eyes land on a striking man. As the decadence is reaching a climax, so is Burrs' jealousy. Throwback Thursday - HAIRSPRAY @ Liberty Theatre
Rated PG. Hairspray is a 2007 musical romantic comedy film directed and choreographed by Adam Shankman, and written by Leslie Dixon. It is based on the 2002 stage musical by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, which itself was based on John Waters's 1988 film. Set in 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, the film follows "pleasantly plump" teenager Tracy Turnblad (Blonsky) as she pursues stardom as a dancer on a local television dance show and rallies against racial segregation. $5 tickets. 7pm.

Paul Thomas Anderson blends political intrigue, dark comedy, and action into a personal story of resistance and family bonds. Acclaimed for its performances, striking visuals, and Jonny Greenwood's score, it's ambitious and thought provoking, though some find its pacing uneven. 7pm.
