Winterfest is brought to you by The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. This is an activity-packed weekend for the whole family here in Pagosa! 2023 Skijor Pagosa Information

Archuleta County Fairgrounds

Skijor Pagosa is an adventure competition where horse and rider pull a skier or snowboarder as fast as possible through an obstacle course of jumps, gates and rings. Skijoring combines Pagosa Country finest skiing heritage with its cowboy roots a fast and furious spectator’s event. Pagosa Nordic Club

Learn to Cross Country Ski Clinic.  Register in advance. Checked in and ready to ski at 9:45am. 

This introductory clinic is great for never-evers, beginners and intermediate level X-C skiers. Learn skate ski and classic cross-country ski basics from some of Pagosa Springs’ best skiers. Come learn how to make these outdoor winter activities even more enjoyable. Bring your ski gear; skate skis or classic kick and glide. All local ski shops rent cross-country ski gear and offer special rental discounts for these clinics- just mention your are attending the clinic.

All free of charge. Donations and Pagosa Nordic Club membership are strongly encouraged to help offset expenses with conducting the clinics and trail grooming.

7th Annual Barkus Parade

The Lost Cajun is hosting this event as a benefit for Rugby's Rescue House of Pagosa Springs. Bring your costumed pet and parade with us! Prizes for best costumes! Register at 10:30am.

Participants are asked to make a small donation (suggested $10) Rugby's Rescue and they receive a free cup of gumbo at The Lost Cajun in return.

12th Annual Penguin Plunge

Saturday Registration 12pm, Plunge 1pm 

Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.  Support your favorite non-profits by raising money and plunging into the freezing cold San Juan River, or enjoy the view from the San Juan River Walk. These brave souls don’t just jump in and get out, we make them REALLY plunge into the river! Enjoy a free Healing Waters Pass after you complete the Penguin Plunge. There’s nothing like soaking in the Hot Springs after being in the cold river! We also have a SPECIAL GUEST at this event! Your kids will love it!
